Immonen has won two majors in the Philippines.
First came the On Cue Invitational and then the first ever Philippines Open, where he overturned a massive deficit to beat home-town hero Efren Reyes in the final.
Despite being one of the top European players through the second half of the 90s, the Finn came into his own in 2001, when he won the World Pool Championship in Cardiff after playing perfect pool for a week.
After years of failure, Immonen was a member of that historic European Mosconi Cup side in 2002 and was voted MVP at last December’s event in Las Vegas.
Consistently one of the best players in the world over the past five years, Immonen is due a good run in the Masters.
