About Johnny Archer

Despite his credentials as one of the world’s greatest players over the past 20 years, amazingly this only Archer’s second Masters appearance after 1999.

Not that he is any stranger to Matchroom Sport events though having garnered a wonderful Mosconi Cup record of 21 wins from 35 matches in his seven appearances dating back to 1997.

Along with Earl Strickland, Archer has been the leading American in tournament play since he first emerged in the early 90's.

A superb matchplayer, Archer is the toughest of nuts to crack whatever his form as his competitive edge seems as sharp as ever. He has enjoyed something of a renaissance over the past two years in the US where he has won almost everything.

Recently a father for the first time, Archer has every chance of lifting the Masters title at his debut attempt.
